friday was noah's 8th birthday! i don't know where the time is going, but my babies are growing up WAY too fast! he wanted to have any army themed party, so we had all the boys wear camo & have a campout in the backyard. they made smores & ran around until they passed out! noah is my little love bug, he is such a blessing to us!!!! look how cute they all were...

pumpkin patch!

yesterday, i went with halle on her class field trip to the pumpkin patch. it was her first time to ever ride a bus. she was so pumped!! anyhow, it was a great time, we went through the corn maze & for a hay ride. luckily the hay ride was enclosed because it started dumping rain!! i feel so blessed to be able to do all this stuff with my kiddos. i wouldn't trade these days for anything in the world!!!

as a momma of three, i don't get too many girls nights!! but it is definitely what keeps me sane!! i am so thankful for such fun, sweet, GORGEOUS inside & out girlfriends!!!! tara was in a fashion show called strut for a mutt supporting the animal shelter in fayetteville. she looked amazing, did awesome, & we had such a fun night! me & amy met up with rachel, nicole, brooke, & their hot momma! we danced the night away to samantha ronson dj'ing!!

this marathon long Arkansas game sure has given me time to update my blog! i haven't seen ian yell at the tv like that in a while!!!

anyways, this time of year gets so busy with school, homework, football, soccer, dance, geez!! ian and i have to split up to be able to get the kids to all of their activities. but we love it! the boys are both doing great! noah's team is "the green machine" and kobe plays for the "gators".

FisHing TriP

So...these pictures are from a few weeks ago...but i wanted to post pictures of our successfull fishing trip!! we had a picnic & then everyone caught a fish...they were thhiiiiiis BIG!!! haha!! our friends tommy & liz went & their 4 year old really did catch a big catfish on a tiny spiderman fishing pole :) she was so proud.

august birthday fun!

august had so many fun birthdays!! for my bday, i had a yummy dinner at copelands, out to eddies, then ian & i headed to fayetteville to see a latin band. my friends got me this cute "birthday girl" martini glass with matching flask! haha. the next weekend was my friend christine's birthday. we went to the casino in siloam (promising to only spend $20 each). so i was done in about 5 minutes!! ha! she spent $2 and won $900!!!! what an awesome birthday present for her!! on wednesday, tara celebrated her bday at shogun. it was such a beautiful night on the patio!! she got some of the cutest gifts! and last weekend was amy's birthday. we went to see second city at the walton arts center. it's a saturday night live type of show SO HILARIOUS!

remembering my dad

i guess this feeling never goes away, huh? it's been 3 months, but when i think about it, it's like i just found out again. gosh, i just want to call him & see him & smell the gross smells of sweaty dogs in his suburban. i have a bunch of his paintings, but i can't hang em. i have a pile of his pictures that i can't look at. it's like it's not real, but actually, it's too real. i just don't understand. there was just something about my dad. he wasn't always there. but he was freakin' cool. he could make you laugh anytime & anywhere. he was loud about it, too. i remember helping him when he was building his house. the day he told me he had cancer. we cried. when i was a little girl & he took me to fayetteville and we climbed up a big hill to the perfect spot so he could give me my first birthstone ring. my first time seeing the beach. not ever liking any of his girlfriends. when he taught my boys how to shoot guns. i will miss sitting on his deck. and the way he would tell boys never to call me again and then hang up on them. when he taught me to play tennis. and golf. i hated golf. the long & windy gravel road to his house where he taught me how to drive. the way the trees hung over that road. when he told me ian was the only guy i ever dated that he liked. how we would pass out on grans floor after christmas dinner. how he was mr.fix it for my gran. yeah, he complained about it. but he did it. and he loved her. listening to bruce springsteen all the way from malden to bentonville. then he gave me the cassette tape to keep. he could somehow make the phone ring so you would get up & then he would take your spot on the couch. man, this is hard.

back to school & room updates!!

oh, yeah! i have a blog! haha! the kids have started back to school & they are loving it. i have been working on their bedrooms & FINALLY got rid of the boys bunk beds. they slept on the bottom bunk together anyways, so we got them a big bed. I'm still debating on ethir a headboard or football mural from pottery barn. so their room isn't quite done, but halle's room finally got curtains...after 4 years!!

well....our "summer break" is quickly coming to an end...the kids start back monday. it is bitter sweet...but mostly sweet! my house seems to be the neighborhood kids place to hang. i love it, but it always looks like a tornado! i'm ready to have a clean house! the kids are so ready too. they miss their school friends. anyhow, yesterday we went shopping for school supplies, backpacks, matching lunchboxes, etc.
